CoolTeg G CW are designed for efficient cooling of server rooms and data centers of all sizes. These chilled-water units connect to a facility chilled-water distribution system typically shared by all units in the data center, enabling virtually unlimited capacity and scalability—provided the piping, pumps and chillers are properly designed and installed. In the new CoolTeg units we employ state-of-the-art components and precise control logic based on our experience in data centers worldwide.

Units feature energy-efficient EC fans and an obliquely placed, high-efficiency heat exchanger. Temperature and humidity are measured in both the cold and warm zones, and intake and discharge areas are maximized to optimize air distribution. The main differences lie in the controller: we use a new controller platform running advanced CONTEG software with a 4.3" color graphic touch screen. One display can serve up to 30 air-conditioning units in the room with a maximum cable length of 500 m. The system communicates via TCP/IP, includes an integrated web server, and can be remotely monitored and controlled from a PC over the internet.

Chilled-water temperature must be +4 °C or higher. Lower water temperature increases CoolTeg unit cooling capacity, while higher water temperature can significantly reduce overall energy consumption when using modern chillers. Each unit’s cooling capacity is adjusted individually by the position of a three-way valve. Fan speed modulation allows for consistent temperature distribution between cold and hot zones of the data center. When room relative humidity must be reduced to a preset level, the unit automatically reduces airflow and modulates the water valve.

CoolTeg G CW (Chilled Water) units deliver high sensible-to-latent cooling ratios thanks to advanced humidity management logic, resulting in lower year-round energy consumption compared with many other cooling units. CoolTeg units are well suited for systems using free cooling and for demanding applications such as compute clusters, HPC, grids and cryptocurrency mining.
